Recently we have transitioned to requiring nominations to be entered via the AWSR national website. In the main this has been actioned swiftly and well by all drivers. Having experienced a couple of hiccups however, there are a couple of clarifications and tips I’d like to ensure all drivers are across.- As per previous emails from our club secretary, if you do not nominate on the AWSR national site by the cut off date, you will start your heats ROF. Please keep in mind the site is eastern states based so effectively if you nominate after 9pm on the cut off date you will show up as a late nomination.
- It is important when nominating to not only select your car, but your driver. Adam Brauer, who was at the top of the list of drivers has shown up as the driver for several nominations simply because one wasn’t correctly selected.
- On the topic of selecting drivers, please ensure you are only on the Driver list once. A couple of drivers have created themselves each time they have nominated rather than select the existing profile. This will put your name in the list of nominations, but won’t add your season points as the national website doesn’t realise that Joe Smith created 3 times over is in fact the same driver.
- Generally with nominations, I am opening them up 3 weeks prior to a meeting, with the cut off date one week prior to country meetings, and on the Wednesday prior to a Motorplex meeting. If in doubt, please take 30 seconds to check the website, as it is always very clear if an event is open for nominations and when the cut off date is.
