Keen Truck Driver Training Wingless Challenge

December 27 - With two more nights of racing during the holiday still to come for Wingless Sprints W.A, there is one meeting looming on the horizon that is crucial not to forget. Saturday night, January 14, the wingless brigade head south to Margaret River for the Keen Truck Driver Training Wingless Challenge.

Thanks to the generosity of John Keen, January 14 is now not only Round 10 of the Rogue Race Products season championship, but one of the most lucrative races on the calendar. The winner of this round will receive $750, but in a new development, John Keen has very generously offered up a further $1 000 if that driver has not won one of the preceeding 9 rounds of the season pointscore. As things stand, if your name is not Daryl Clayden, Scott Elst, Marshall McDiarmid or Kyle Beard, this round has a $1 750 payout for winning the feature race.

Beyond that, the Keen Truck Driver Training Wingless Challenge is paying $350 for 2nd, $300 for 3rd and $200 for 4th, with all drivers beyond 4th on the night receiving $150 tow money. The Margaret River Speedway has been a favourite venue for the class in it's formative years, with the club looking after us very well and the track lending itself to great racing.

Nominations are open for this great event, and currently stand at 16. The cut off for nominations via www.awsr.com.au is Sunday, January 8, so make sure you do not miss out. Thanks once again to John Keen and Keen Truck Driver Training for the generous support of this event, look forward to seeing you all there.

Wingless Sprints WA would like to thank all their sponsors for season 2011 / 12, with the support from season sponsor Rogue Race Products, and Gold Sponsors Steel Blue Workwear, Transit Clothing, Jim Kidd Sports and Keen Driver Training assisting in getting the club on the road to a successful season.
